Persaingan firma-firma hukum (lawfirm) papan atas Indonesia dalam Indonesia Law Awards 2014 yang diselenggarakan Asian Legal Business (ALB) akhirnya memunculkan satu nama yang dominan. Hadiputranto Hadinoto & Partners (HHP) berhasil memenangkan kategori penghargaan terbanyak, dengan total tujuh penghargaan.
Nama HHP paling banyak muncul sebagai yang terbaik untuk kategori “Deal Awards”. Total empat kategori “Deal Award” yang berhasil diraih HHP yakni Debt Market Deal of the Year; Energy and Resources Deal of the Year; M&A Deal of the Year; dan Indonesia Deal of the Year.
Untuk kategori “Deal Awards”, yang dinilai memang bukan siapa lawfirm-nya, tetapi apa kesepakatan (deal) yang dilakukan. Makanya, untuk sebagian besar kategori dalam “Deal Awards”, pemenangnya tidak hanya mencantumkan satu nama lawfirm.
Dalam kategori, “M & A Deal of the Year”, misalnya, HHP menang bersama Assegaf Hamzah & Partners (AHP), Soemadipradja & Taher; Baker & Mckenzie; Clifford Chance; Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer; Herbert Smith Freehills; dan Sidley Austin.
Selain “Deal Awards”, HHP juga menorehkan prestasi untuk kategori “Lawfirm Awards”. HHP berhasil memenangkan tiga kategori yakni Energy and Resources Law Firm of the Year; Deal Firm of the Year; dan Indonesia Law Firm of the Year.
Berada di posisi kedua teratas peraih “Indonesia Law Awards 2014” terbanyak adalah AHP. Total, AHP berhasil memenangkan lima kategori penghargaan yakni M&A Deal of the Year; Indonesia Deal of the Year; Dispute Resolution Law Firm of the Year; Insolvency and Restructuring Law Firm of the Year; dan Managing Partner of the Year.
Berikutnya, peraih “Indonesia Law Awards 2014” terbanyak ketiga adalah Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy Kardono (SSEK). Total tiga kategori penghargaan yang diraih SSEK yakni Construction Law Firm of the Year; Employment Law Firm of the Year; dan Real Estate Deal of the Year.
